Things are blooming in my garden!
It's been such a pleasure to go outdoors lately, now that spring has come to the Northeast. The bleeding hearts are blooming, along with tulips, daffodils and grape hyacinths, my daughter's favorite because they look like little grapes. Many of my perennials are waiting in the wings for their turn to shine. As a matter of fact, I have entered a local street garden contest, designed to encourage villagers to cultivate beauty for passersby, since we are a "walking" village. Three gardens will win top honors and receive a plaque to display in their garden, but everyone else will get recognition for participating. Wish me luck!
Welcome to blog land, Karen. You are off to a wonderful start. I love that your village is encouraging you all to beautify your yards. I'm looking forward to your updates. Yours looks lovely already.
I'm an interior designer turned stay-at-home mom of two beautiful girls. As a result, I channeled my creativity into a small craft business here at home. I love to create handmade cards and tags, decoupage accessories, faux floral designs, hand sewn stockings and much more. I always have new ideas circling through my head just waiting to come out, so I started a shop on Etsy and I'm very happy nurturing it everyday. I hope to go places and accomplish great things with my creative talents, even if I just bring a smile to someone's face!
Great start Karen! Looks good. Thanks for visiting mine yesterday! Happy blogging!
